Lots of Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to praise young striker Troy Parrott after he impressed during their International Champions Cup match against Manchester United.
The 17-year-old could well be in the running for a place in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad for this season given Tottenham have got rid of two of their three recognised strikers.
Fernando Llorente was released by the club after his contract expired at the end of last season, while Vincent Janssen was sold to Mexican side Monterrey for £6million after a disappointing stint in north London.
As a result, the Irish teenager could find himself in and around the first team set-up having caught the eye in his last campaign in the U18 Premier League where he bagged 14 goals in nine games.
And his performance against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Man United saw a great number of Spurs supporters taking to social media to describe the talent they saw on display.
Here is just some of the reaction:

Troy Parrott is a gem. You can train as much as you want & learn a certain amount but minutes is what’s important even if it means training with the 1st team but playing games for the Development Squad.@RyanMason this kid needs to play. Literally the real deal. #COYS

Skipp and Parrott are nailed on future superstars. There’s a hell of player in Foyth too. Very exciting times. #COYS
