Loads of Spurs fans have been reacting to a surprising transfer link, as Wolfsburg target man Wout Weghorst is reportedly one of the candidates to replace the injured Harry Kane.

Tottenham are absolutely crying out for a recognised centre-forward, and never has that been more evident than during their FA Cup clash with Southampton on Saturday afternoon. The Lilywhites took the lead through Son Heung-min, but they could have been two or three up by that point, and a late equaliser from Sofiane Boufal means they will now have to entertain a replay.

Kane is expected to be out for at least a few months after undergoing surgery to repair his hamstring, and according to Bild journalist Christian Falk, via @RickSpur, the club have identified several Bundeslgia strikers who could solve their current predicament.

Weghorst, Paco Alcácer, Mario Götze and Timo Werner are all on the list of possible arrivals, and plenty of fans were drawn to the Wolfsburg man’s name, perhaps due to the fact that he is 6 foot 6, seemingly a perfect fit for the type of striker Jose Mourinho would want.

The towering Dutch international has posted impressive goalscoring numbers at every club he has played for, racking up 119 goals in 281 senior matches, per Transfermarkt. Take a look at some of the best Twitter reactions down below…
