Tottenham supporters have been somewhat quieter in recent times after seeing their team suffer their first Premier League defeat of the season just prior to the current international break.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men went into their clash with Watford off the back of three straight victories to begin the 2018/19 campaign, the latter of which against Manchester United perhaps the most impressive. And while they took the lead against the Hornets last time out through an Abdoulaye Doucoure own goal, headers from Troy Deeney and Craig Cathcart sealed a 2-1 success for Javi Gracia’s men to condemn Spurs to a first league loss of the season.
Thus, there have been many disappointed Tottenham fans up and down the country in recent times, although they are likely to be interested by recent reports linking their club with a move for Adrien Rabiot.
The 23-year-old currently plays his football at French giants Paris Saint-Germain having made the move to the Parc des Princes as a youth player back in 2010, although with his contract up at the end of the season, his future at the Ligue 1 champions remains far from certain.
And reports suggest that Spurs have begun talks with the midfielder’s representatives over a possible move to North London, which is news that has stimulated quite a response from Tottenham fans on Twitter.
And while some welcomed the news, others have refused to get their hopes up following their side’s inactivity over the summer…
While we can’t even sign a player from a championship club…….
