Some Spurs fans have reacted to chairman Daniel Levy saying now is the time for the club to spend money in the transfer window, as reported by the Daily Telegraph.
The 57-year-old said that he believes having finished work on both the stadium and training ground that the focus must now switch to not only commercial improvements but also the team on the pitch.
Tottenham have already made investments into their squad through the purchases of Jack Clarke from Leeds and Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon for a club-record fee of £53.8million.
As well as bringing players in, Mauricio Pochettino has gotten rid of some of those who have failed to perform in recent times.
Kieran Trippier was sold to Atletico Madrid for £20m after putting in displays which were heavily criticised by some people during the last campaign, while Vincent Janssen moved to Mexican side Monterrey after just six goals in 42 appearances for the Lilywhites.
And while some supporters are excited by Levy’s words, others are sceptical until more deals are confirmed.
