Tottenham Hotspur fans here in the Tavern are hoping that their side can end the season on a high, as they remain on course for a Champions League spot.
The Lilywhites will be looking to insert their dominance as the season comes to a close, with a number of youngsters possibly being given a chance in the starting lineup with a European spot looking likely. Although, it appears that one of Spurs’ brightest prospects may struggle to earn many minutes from here on in, as according to journalist Alisdair Gold’s Twitter account, Kyle Walker-Peters is currently out on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
Kyle Walker-Peters has struggled to break into the starting XI in the current campaign as Mauricio Pochettino has looked to play his strongest side at every possible opportunity. Although, the defender has still managed to rack up eight first-team appearances in all competitions, as he’s very much a part of the Argentine’s future plans.
However, any hopes he may have had about earning some more minutes in the Premier League from here on in have been dashed, as he’s currently spending time out on the sidelines after sustaining a hamstring injury. So, the Englishman is set to lose out on some valuable experience in the first-team ranks, with many of our local residents feeling sorry for the defender.
Kyle Walker-Peters could have played a big part in some of Spurs’ upcoming fixtures, having already shown his quality in previous appearances in the current campaign. And, many of our local residents are hoping that he isn’t out of the side for too long, as progression will be key at this stage of his career.
