Tottenham hijack West Ham attempts to land Argentine, Euro giants want £13m

Roberto Pereyra

There’s really very little reason the Spurs and West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern need to argue any more than they currently do, but the proverbial transfer rumour mill certainly likes to do its bit.

That’s because, according to Italian website TuttoMercatoWeb.comSpurs are ready to rock the Hammers by moving in on their chase of Juventus midfielder Roberto Pereyra.

The Argentine has been linked with a move to East London for some time now after falling out of favour with the Old Lady since making his loan spell a more permanent affair last summer.

With competition for places being as high as it is in Turin, the 25-year old is understood to have been made available for transfer.

Spurs are believed to be ready to make a bid for the former Udinese midfielder in an attempt to bolster their ranks in attacking midfield positions, with the Serie A champions holding out for as much as £13m.

Who will improve more next season, Spurs or West Ham?
