Tottenham Hotspur: Danny Rose’s good gesture has not changed the mind of many fans

Danny Rose has made a good gesture in an attempt to improve Tottenham Hotspur’s performances, according to The Daily Mail.
The left-back is said to have organised a team bonding meal for everyone to try to them beginning, and there has been an indication it could have worked, with Mauricio Pochettino saying he enjoyed seeing the players in a different environment:

Ross believed the publicised meal could help the team by ‘20 or 30%’ even though he nearly left the club.#THFC #COYS pic.twitter.com/3YJMj1YJLd

Sunday’s fixture against Everton could offer the first sign of whether or not this has worked for the players, but if Rose was hoping this would change the opinion of the fans towards him then he will have been left disappointed.
Many Spurs fans have shown an appreciation for the effort, but they still don’t believe in him as a player, with the general feeling being that he should be sold in the near future.
The England international has made 9 league starts this season, averaging 1.8 tackles, 0.9 interceptions, 2.9 clearances and 0.7 blocks per game, as per WhoScored, while also making 1.2 key passes, 0.9 dribbles and 0.9 crosses.
A selection of Twitter reaction to the report, including posts from unconvinced Spurs fans, can be seen below:

What a guy, just a shame he’s not as good as he was

Hopefully his teammates can repay the favor and help organize his departure from the club

He’s clearly a better event planner than LB

I love Danny and tbh he does seem to give everything he’s got. The simple fact is he is just past it. We have been seeing this decline for some time. He never came back the same after those injuries.
