David Ornstein joined Mark Chapman on another episode of The Ornstein & Chapman Podcast to discuss the current situation in the Premier League season.

Right now, the public are still in the dark about the return of football, which has to do with recent developments to have put all sport on hold, forcing people into self-isolation and quarantine.

However, there are some clubs, like Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, who, according to Ornstein himself, are still doing some training and he believes that just might give them an edge once the season resumes.

Here's what he said for The Ornstein & Chapman Podcast (16/3/2020): "Those who are training as normal like Tottenham, Manchester United and a few others - if the resumption does come soon, then those players are going to be in top condition"

Of course, these are all just assumptions since we still don't know whether the league campaign will actually be resumed at all or will the 2019/20 be declared null and void as a whole. Obviously, this then begs the question of what exactly will happen to the teams that are top and bottom of their respective leagues as relegation and promotion is also put under a question mark.

Still, with no training sessions currently available for most, those who stay fit would certainly have an edge in case the competitions do return in the near future.

Spurs fans, do you think this could potentially give your team a boost once the league returns? Let us know down in the comments below!
