Tottenham Hotspur fans are against the idea of Jose Mourinho managing the club if Mauricio Pochettino eventually leaves.
Will this be Mauricio Pochettino's last season at Tottenham?
According to Soccer Link, Spurs have contacted the Portuguese manager about eventually taking over as manager in the future. As per the report, Pochettino is under no pressure as of right now, however, the club is attempting to prepare for his eventual departure.
Obviously, Mourinho endured a nightmare end to his reign as Manchester United manager, being sacked after a 4-1 loss away to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool (via BBC). In fact, reports from The Mirror claimed the 56-year-old lost 90% of the dressing room at Old Trafford.
Pochettino hasn’t fared well this season, winning just three of the club’s 11 games in all competitions (via WhoScored), with losses to League Two Colchester United and Premier League Brighton and Hove Albion among the shock results.
With the club reportedly preparing for the future, fans took to Twitter to react to Mourinho potentially taking over as manager.
Here is a selection of tweets from the north London faithful:
