Tottenham fans seemed pleased with the way they lined up against Chelsea on Sunday apart from in one position. Some fans weren’t happy with the fact Eric Dier was starting ahead of Tanguy Ndombele and they thought the latter would give them much more in midfield.
The 25-year-old has played in all but one of the seven games Jose Mourinho has managed at the club so far, but that could be to do with Ndombele’s injury problems, which have sidelined him on numerous occasions this term. Ahead of this weekend’s game, WhoScored had rated Dier 6.8/10 so far this Premier League season and Ndombele 6.86/10, so there wasn’t much between them going into the match.
Some Spurs fans disagree, though, and would have preferred the latter to start against Chelsea, and they made sure their feelings were known on Twitter. The club asked for the fans’ thoughts on their starting line-up and a number of those who were unhappy replied.
