Tottenham Hotspur: Fans beg for Ryan Sessegnon to play against RB Leipzig

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have called on Jose Mourinho to start Ryan Sessegnon ahead of Jan Vertonghen at left-back for Spurs in the Champions League second-leg tie away at RB Leipzig.
This comes after a tweet posted by Football.London journalist Alasdair Gold relaid Mourinho’s comments in his pre-match press conference that it is between Sessegnon and Vertonghen to start at left-back for the north London club.
Gold kept Spurs supporters updated on the conference and one of Mourinho’s most revealing comments was that he thinks ‘it’s time for Ryan to get his opportunity’. Whilst Vertonghen has done a job at left-back before for Spurs, he is more natural as a central defender as his 407 career appearances there would suggest, whereas Sessegnon played for Fulham regularly as a left-back and would arguably offer more of an attacking threat that the north London club may need in order to score enough goals and ultimately get through in the tie given his goalscoring exploits in the Championship.
Do you trust Jose Mourinho to develop Ryan Sessegnon?
Yes

No

Indeed, these fans have acted upon Mourinho’s comments and have begged the Portuguese to start the England international at left-back:
Mourinho: "Ryan Sessegnon must help us. It’s between Ryan and Jan Vertonghen to play left-back. Ryan can also give us options in attacking areas. Especially without Steven, I think it’s time for Ryan to get his opportunity." https://t.co/NmK0NK4WsI

Hang on, didn’t Jose say he wasn’t a left back not long ago?

I think that was Pochettinos plan when he signed him and told Rose to stay in London and find a new club… 🤔🤔
