Tottenham defender Danny Rose has once again been talking openly about the return of the Premier League, according to Alasdair Gold via football.london

Rose appeared as a guest on the latest episode of The Lockdown Tactics podcast hosted by West Ham United's Robert Snodgrass and former Rangers star Kris Boyd, and went on to talk about his outburst on his reluctance to return to training, his relationships with managers, and the public's reaction to his honesty about his mental health struggles.

Speaking to the two players, the Newcastle loanee said "just off the fact that people are suggesting we should go back to football, like we're guinea pigs or lab rats."

"We're going to experiment this phase and see if it works or not. I can just imagine people at home saying 'well they earn that amount of money so they should be going back'."

"For stuff like that I think is it worth the hassle? I could be potentially risking my health for people's entertainment and that's not something I want to be involved in if I'm honest."

The 29-year-old recently made the headlines for slamming the Premier League's 'Project Restart' plans in a foul-mouthed tirade on Instagram.

Jose Mourinho has indicated the England international isn’t a part of his plans for the Lillywhites and he moved to Newcastle United on a short-term loan in January.

Magpies boss Steve Bruce wants him to stay at St James’ Park, and, as his contract is likely to expire next season, it appears the left-back could finally leaving North London permanently in the summer. His current market value is estimated at £14m via Transfermarkt.

Rose has made 5 appearances in the Premier League for Bruce’s Black and Whites, making 1.4 tackles per game, attempting 1.2 clearances on average, with a pass success rating of 77.7% (WhoScored).

Unsurprisingly, lots of Spurs fans blasted his latest comments on social media, with one supporter sarcastically branding him a "victim," and another adding he is "overrated."
