Tottenham Hotspur have officially confirmed that Tanguy Ndombele has returned to first-team training following injury (via @SpursOfficial).
The French international had missed Spurs’ previous four fixtures in all competitions with an injury which he sustained in their fixture against Norwich City at Carrow Road back in December (Transfermarkt). But he is now on the verge of making his return and manager Jose Mourinho admitted that he could even be involved in their next Premier League outing later this evening, which coincidentally is against Norwich (football.london).
Ndombele became Spurs’ record signing in the summer, joining from Lyon for a fee of £53.8 million (BBC Sport). However he has struggled to have an impact in north London so far, playing 90 minutes on just three occasions in the Premier League (Transfermarkt).
Naturally, most Tottenham fans are absolutely delighted that their record signing is closing in on a return to action, with many taking to Twitter to express their excitement about Ndombele potentially being back involved this week. Here is what some had to say…
