Some Tottenham Hotspur fans are buzzing at reports that Eder Militao's future at Real Madrid is in doubt as he struggles to break into the first team (Diario AS via Ricky Sacks).

According to El Desmarque, Jose Mourinho is keen on signing the centre-back and has already held discussions about him with Florentino Perez.

The Brazilian international is currently valued at 40 million euros according to Transfermarkt but this price can fluctuate based on how much more game-time he gets at Madrid and how much Spurs are willing to pay. He has only made 13 appearances for the Spanish giants in all competitions this season, keeping four clean sheets.

It is not yet known if and when the transfer window will open following recent events, but what Spurs will hope for is that Militao's price does not rise between now and then. He will not be able to feature for Real Madrid until La Liga decide that it is safe to play matches again, so in that time the 22-year old will be looking to train hard in order to then try and break the partnership set by Raphael Varane and club-captain Sergio Ramos.

These Spurs fans expressed their positive feelings towards Militao on Twitter, with one fan even claiming that the north London club would win the league with him:

If he anything like he is in FIFA hes the great CB to ever live
