Loads of Tottenham Hotspur fans were left stunned on Monday night following an incident which happened in Manchester United's 2-0 victory away at Chelsea.

Whilst it was a good night for the Red Devils, it could have been very different had centre-back Harry Maguire been given a red card in the first half. The England international appeared to kick out at Chelsea's Michy Batshuayi (@SkySportsMNF) and whilst referee Anthony Taylor didn't see anything untoward, VAR did have a look at the incident. However, the technology bizarrely decided that there was no violent conduct and Maguire therefore escaped punishment totally, not even receiving a yellow card never mind a red.

The decision irked a large section of Spurs supporters, who insisted that the incident was identical to one which saw Son Heung-min sent off in December, ironically also in a game against Chelsea. The South Korean, like Maguire, kicked out at an opponent but on that occasion, VAR intervened and the 27-year-old was dismissed (Sky Sports).

After seeing the decision on Monday, plenty of Tottenham fans took to Twitter to express their frustrations that the two incidents were not treated equally, with some slamming both the officiating and VAR as 'disgraceful'.

Here is what some had to say...
