Tottenham Hotspur: Fans discuss Jose Mourinho’s plans for Oliver Skipp

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to Twitter to leave their initial reactions after it emerged Jose Mourinho is set to give Oliver Skipp a key role in the side moving forward.
According to a report by Football Insider, the Portuguese manager is understood to have been impressed by the 19-year-old and is thought to be keen to give him a prominent role in the first-team should the current Premier League season resume at some point.
Indeed, Skipp may have only had a handful of outings for Mourinho since he took over from Mauricio Pochettino – four to be exact amassing 200 minutes (as per TransferMarkt), however he has already left the boss purring in the past.
The experienced manager used the word ‘phenomenal’ to describe the teenager after his performance against Norwich City in the FA Cup at the beginning of the month (The Sun), despite being knocked out on penalties.
It is not just Mourinho that appears to have been impressed with Skipp’s recent showings, though, as a number of Spurs fans seem to be delighted with the reports suggesting he could be about to play a key role moving forward.
One fan even went as far to say that the youngster is better than current first-teamer Harry Winks, whilst another followed up by suggesting that he saw shades of Scott Parker – a player who was named the 2011 Football Writers’ Player of the Year (BBC) – in one of the latest men to have graduated through the Tottenham academy ranks.
