Tottenham Hotspur: Fans fume at Jose Mourinho following Alasdair Gold tweet

Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have been venting about Jose Mourinho following a tweet shared by Football London journalist Alasdair Gold on Monday.

In the post, he mentioned Mourinho’s comments that he wishes that it was July 1st and that he was preparing for a new season rather than having to see out the current campaign with his injury-stricken squad. Indeed, Spurs are currently without three key players after Son Heung-min joined Harry Kane and Moussa Sissoko on the sidelines through injury last week after fracturing his arm against Aston Villa.

Since then, Mourinho has cut a forlorn figure and bemoaned the lack of striking options he has at his disposal (BBC Sport), whilst pundits including Peter Crouch have slammed his “negative” tactics in their recent game against Chelsea (BT Sport, via talkSPORT).

It seems that the attitude shown by the Portuguese manager of late has irked some Spurs supporters who are fed up of his recent negativity. Here is what some had to say about it on Twitter…
