Tottenham Hotspur: Fans gush over Simon Jordan’s comments on Dele Alli

Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has slammed coverage of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli’s burglary, via @thespursweb.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Jordan launched a scathing attack on a section of the media, condemning reporting that blamed Alli’s lifestyle for the assault.
The 52-year-old said “somehow Dele and his lifestyle are complicit in his downfall. It’s wrong! Dele has a £150k watch? So what? He’s been held at knifepoint!”
He added: “it is horrible, nasty gutter reporting and I loathe it!”
Last week, two criminals broke into the England international’s house and stole valuable possessions, as well as threatening the Spurs star with a knife. Alli was also punched in the face and sustained minor injuries.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, Spurs players had been told to stay away from the Enfield Training Centre, and the 24-year-old had been spending time with his brother and their partners.
This shocking crime follows an attack on Jan Vertonghen’s family earlier this year while the Belgian was away on Champions League duty with Jose Mourinho’s side.
After arriving at White Hart Lane from MK Dons for £5.97m in 2015, the playmaker has emerged as one of England’s brightest stars, scoring 62 goals in 219 appearances for the North London club so far. He is currently valued at £57m via Transfermarkt.
Unsurprisingly, loads of Spurs fans raved over the pundit’s opinion, with one fan tweeting Jordan is talking “pure sense,” and another adding he is “spot on.”
