Tottenham Hotspur: Fans heap praise on Eric Dier after Wolves performance

Tottenham Hotspur picked up an impressive three points by beating Wolves away from home on Sunday, with goals from Lucas Moura and Jan Vertonghen sealing the victory (BBC Sport).
Is Jose Mourinho winning you over at Tottenham?
Absolutely

No chance

The result moved Jose Mourinho’s side to within just three points of Chelsea who occupy the final Champions League qualification place (BBC Sport).
Plenty of Spurs players did well at Molineux given the nature of the late win, but one who came in for specific praise on social media was midfielder Eric Dier.
The England international made four clearances and blocked two shots in the game, as well as providing one assist after playing the pass which led to Moura’s opener (SofaScore).
Added to that the 25-year-old also came close to scoring himself, hitting the post at the end of a lovely move which saw him play a one-two with Dele Alli (Sky Sports).
Dier has taken some flak from fans on the back of recent performances, but most had a different view of his display at Molineux and felt that he did well in the match.
Here is what some had to say about Dier on Twitter…
Eric Dier just turned into Zidane

Eric Dier was class defensively today, should’ve had a goal as well. Not the most mobile player but definitely showing with more game time he can be decent pic.twitter.com/lK4xLXvffr
