The article states that Dier himself thinks that the centre-back role is his best position and that it is the one he feels most comfortable with going forward.
The English international has already played in the centre of defence five times under the Portuguese coach this season, as per Transfermarkt, and the report suggests that he will continue being deployed there once the campaign resumes.
Based off his stats it seems as if the 26-year old is relatively comfortable in both positions.
These Tottenham supporters are loving the fact that Jose will be playing Dier in his preferred position and expressed their emotions on Twitter:
Wasted years in midfield. Could have been a top CB by now.
