Tottenham Hotspur: Fans predict Eric Dier will feature for Jose Mourinho
Several Tottenham Hotspur supporters think that Eric Dier’s career at the club could be resurrected following the arrival of Jose Mourinho.
The England international had struggled for game time towards the end of Mauricio Pochettino’s reign in north London, indeed he started just twice in the Premier League this season prior to the Argentine’s dismissal (Transfermarkt).
But the arrival of Mourinho should mean a fresh start for the former Sporting Lisbon man who will hope to force his way back into contention.
And it may be that Dier and the Portuguese manager are a match made in heaven. Mourinho tried to sign the 25-year-old back in 2017 whilst he was in charge of Manchester United (The Guardian) and he has even described him as “one of the best” defenders in football in the past (Metro).
Plenty of Spurs fans think that Dier will become a key player under Mourinho and are backing him to reignite his career at the club.
