Tottenham Hotspur: Fans rave about Tanguy Ndombele despite Chelsea defeat - Tottenham

Plenty of Tottenham Hotspur fans were impressed with Tanguy Ndombele’s cameo performance against Chelsea on Sunday and are calling for him to start more often.

The north London side were beaten 2-0 by the Blues, with most players producing a below-par display.

Eric Dier and Moussa Sissoko started as their midfield duo, but neither really made a positive impact on the game. Indeed, Sissoko won just five of his 12 ground duels, lost possession 10 times and was dribbled past on two occasions (SofaScore).

As for Dier, he was perhaps even worse as he won neither of his ground or aerial duels, lost possession six times and had a passing accuracy of just 78% before being brought off by Jose Mourinho at half-time (SofaScore).

As a result, several fans want to see Ndombele given a chance in the team. The Frenchman joined Spurs in the summer, but recently missed games against Burnley and Wolves due to an injury (Transfermarkt).

He came back to play 16 minutes against Chelsea however and he did well, completing two successful dribbles despite only being on the pitch for a limited time (SofaScore).

Plenty of supporters are now calling for Mourinho to regularly start the ex-Lyon man on Twitter, here is what some had to say…
