Tottenham Hotspur: Fans react to Giovani Lo Celso transfer update

Real Betis president Angel Haro believes that Tottenham Hotspur will make a decision on the future of Giovani Lo Celso in January.
Should Tottenham sign Lo Celso permanently?
Yes

No

According to Estadio Deportivo, Haro has insisted that Spurs will exercise the option to turn the Argentinian’s loan deal into a permanent one when the transfer window re-opens next month.
The north London outfit have an option to buy the midfielder for £27 million in January, but that goes up to £33.9 million in the summer and if they qualify for the Champions League the transfer becomes mandatory (football.london).
It seems as though they will take up the option to sign him on the cut-price deal rather than waiting until the summer, despite the player not really making much of an impact so far.
Indeed, the 23-year-old has started just one Premier League game this season and in total he has played just 322 minutes across all competitions, scoring just one goal and providing zero assists (Transfermarkt).
As a result of his below-par start to life at the club, several fans aren’t that happy after reading that they intend to sign him on a permanent deal in January.
Some suggest that he isn’t the type of player that fits into a Jose Mourinho team, whilst others simply feel that he isn’t good enough.
Here is what some had to say on Twitter…
Looks a great player but isn’t a Jose player

Me personally, I’d like spurs to give him back. I feel Jose can bring in a much better player. He doesn’t have what it takes to elevate spurs.

Hasn’t had many opportunities so far, but when he has played he hasn’t looked up to the standard that would take over & run our midfield. Jury still out for me.

Still not sure where he fits in this current Mourinho set up. Dele is playing where Lo Celso would probably do best but there is no way he’s replacing Dele so will be tough for him

Don’t think he will thrive here :/
