Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to offer young defender Japhet Tanganga a new contract soon, that is according to a report from the Daily Mirror.
It is suggested that the versatile 20-year-old will see his wages significantly increase from £2,000-per-week up to £20,000-per-week. The academy graduate has made his first-team breakthrough since the turn of the year, with Jose Mourinho starting him in six of their last eight matches in the Premier League and FA Cup (Transfermarkt).
He has performed extremely well too considering his lack of experience. Indeed in his three Premier League appearances, he wins an average of 7.0 duels per game, whilst also making 6.3 clearances, 3.7 tackles and 2.0 interceptions per match (SofaScore). One thing is for sure, most Spurs fans agree that Tanganga deserves a new contract and a significant pay rise. In fact, many even think that he should earn more than the reported £20,000-per-week he will be getting.

Too low. The lad from Birmingham will be sold in the summer and be on double or treble that. Lock him in properly.
