Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Juan Foyth will push to leave the club in the summer transfer window, that is according to a report from The Independent.
It is thought that the Argentinian is keen to secure more regular first-team football elsewhere, having found opportunities hard to come by under Jose Mourinho of late.
Indeed, the 22-year-old has started just two games for Spurs since the Portuguese took charge. One was in a Champions League dead rubber against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena, whilst the most recent was back in December in a Premier League fixture against Norwich City where he was dragged off at half-time (Transfermarkt).
The defender was actually linked with a move to Sampdoria in the January transfer window (Il Secolo XIX), but a deal never went through meaning that he is likely to watch the majority of the remainder of Spurs’ season from the sidelines. It seems that most Tottenham fans aren’t too bothered by Foyth’s potential departure, with many suggesting that he isn’t good enough for them anyway. Here is what some had to say about it on Twitter…
