Tottenham Hotspur’s young striker Troy Parrott is set to be allowed to leave the club on loan until the end of the season, that is according to a report from Sky Sports Transfer Centre.
There is significant interest in taking him from two clubs too, with Queens Park Rangers and Charlton Athletic battling to secure the Republic of Ireland international’s signature. Also, it is suggested that Spurs would like the 17-year-old to sign a new deal before making any temporary switch.
With Harry Kane suffering a hamstring injury ruling him out until at least April (tottenhamhotspur.com) some may have thought that Parrott would have been given more first-team opportunities with him being the only other recognised striker at the club.
However, that has not happened and under Jose Mourinho, the youngster has managed to play just five minutes of first-team football which came against Burnley back in December (Transfermarkt). Instead, it looks as though the club will sign a more experienced frontman, with a fresh bid for Krzysztof Piatek having been made according to CalcioMercato.
Most Spurs fans seem to think that allowing Parrott to leave on loan is a good move by the club as it will allow him to get some first-team football under his belt. Here is what some had to say on Twitter…
Great news, now he won’t stagnate like KWP did.

Would be great for him to get game time regularly

Either would be a good move for him. Likely to get more games at Charlton because of their injury crisis
