Tottenham Hotspur have begun talks about potentially signing Paris Saint Germain left-back Layvin Kurzawa, that is according to a report from Foot Mercato.
The Frenchman’s contract is set to run out in the summer (Transfermarkt), meaning clubs in Europe can begin discussing a pre-contract with him when the transfer window re-opens in January.
According to the report, the 27-year-old’s representatives have already opened talks with Spurs, but they are not the only club interested with West Ham United and Manchester United also thought to be keen.
Kurzawa hasn’t been a regular for PSG of late, making just five Ligue 1 games this season (Transfermarkt) with Juan Bernat ahead of him in the pecking order.
It is thought that the French side would like to offload him in January, however the player himself seems intent on seeing his contract out and leaving at the end of the season.
Despite being capped 13 times by France (Transfermarkt), it seems that signing Kurzawa would not be popular amongst the club’s fan base, with many suggesting that he isn’t good enough for Tottenham.
Here is what some have said on Twitter about potentially bringing the former Monaco man in…
