Tottenham Hotspur: Fans react to Mourinho revelation on Steven Bergwijn

Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted to Jose Mourinho’s revelation that Steven Bergwijn could be ruled out for the rest of the season after his latest injury setback (via Evening Standard).
The attacker was forced off the pitch in the 1-1 draw away at Burnley last weekend in the Premier League with an ankle problem and Mourinho has now confirmed what many fans feared, that the forward has joined a growing list of Spurs players on the injury table.
The Dutch international has managed two goals in five Premier League appearances this season, including scoring on his debut in front of the home fans against reigning champions Manchester City (via Transfermarkt). Bergwijn joined from PSV in the January transfer window as the club felt that they needed to get attacking reinforcements in following the sale of Christian Eriksen.
Naturally most Spurs fans are gutted that the Dutchman could miss the rest of the campaign, with some even suggesting that the season is now as good as over – possibly because they also currently have Son Heung-min and Harry Kane out injured (Transfermarkt).
Here is what some had to say…
