Tottenham Hotspur: Fans react to reported interest from AC Milan in Hugo Lloris - Tottenham

AC Milan are very keen on signing Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris in the summer transfer window, that is according to a report from CalcioMercatoWeb.

It is suggested that the Serie A giants see the Frenchman as a potential replacement for Gianluigi Donnarumma and that Spurs manager Jose Mourinho would be open to letting his captain leave.

Lloris has been in north London since joining from Lyon in the summer of 2012 for an initial fee of £7.9 million (via The Guardian). He has gone on to make 316 appearances for the club in all competitions, keeping an impressive 106 clean sheets in that time (Transfermarkt).

The 33-year-old remains first choice between the sticks at Spurs, although he has only played 12 times in the Premier League this term due to an elbow injury (Transfermarkt).

He was a firm favourite under former manager Mauricio Pochettino, who gave him 229 appearances during his time in charge – only Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane were used more often (Transfermarkt). However it seems the Argentine’s successor isn’t quite as keen.

It is perhaps due to his advancing years that Mourinho would consider allowing the £13.05m-valued ace to leave, but it seems that many Tottenham fans agree with the Portuguese boss and they too would let Lloris go.
