Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho is a huge fan of Leicester City right-back Ricardo Pereira and the club could be set to make a £30m offer for the player, that is according to a report from the Daily Express.
Could Tottenham tempt Ricardo Pereira from Leicester?
The 26-year-old Portuguese defender has been a regular for the Foxes in the Premier League this term, starting in 19 of their first 20 matches (Transfermarkt).
He has been playing very well too, indeed he is averaging 1.9 interceptions, three clearances and 4.1 tackles per game (WhoScored) whilst also helping his team to seven clean sheets and chipping in with two goals and one assist (Transfermarkt).
Serge Aurier is currently operating at Spurs’ first choice right-back but defensively he hasn’t been the best this season, losing possession on average 16.3 times per game (SofaScore).
Mourinho could, therefore, look to bring in a new player to fill that position and if the report from the Express is to be believed then his compatriot Pereira could be a main target.
It seems that most Spurs fans would love to see the ex-Porto man join them, here is what some had to say on Twitter…
