Tottenham Hotspur: Fans react to Son Heung-min’s red card against Chelsea - Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur fell to their third defeat of the Jose Mourinho era on Sunday (Transfermarkt) as they were beaten 2-0 by his former side Chelsea.

A brace from Willian was enough to seal all three points for the Blues, who moved six clear of Spurs in the league table heading into Christmas (BBC Sport).

One of the major talking points of the game was when the referee gave a red card to Spurs forward Son Heung-min, following consultation with VAR.

The South Korean international kicked out at Antonio Rudiger just after the hour mark and despite minimal contact he saw red.

It means that the 27-year-old has now been sent off three times in the Premier League since May (iNews), although his red card against Everton following a challenge on Andre Gomes was rescinded.

Quite a few Spurs fans were left disappointed by Son’s lack of discipline in the game, here is what some had to say about it on Twitter…
