Tottenham Hotspur fell to their third defeat of the Jose Mourinho era on Sunday (Transfermarkt) as they were beaten 2-0 by his former side Chelsea.
A brace from Willian was enough to seal all three points for the Blues, who moved six clear of Spurs in the league table heading into Christmas (BBC Sport).
One of the major talking points of the game was when the referee gave a red card to Spurs forward Son Heung-min, following consultation with VAR.
The South Korean international kicked out at Antonio Rudiger just after the hour mark and despite minimal contact he saw red.
It means that the 27-year-old has now been sent off three times in the Premier League since May (iNews), although his red card against Everton following a challenge on Andre Gomes was rescinded.
Quite a few Spurs fans were left disappointed by Son’s lack of discipline in the game, here is what some had to say about it on Twitter…
Sonny what are you doing 😪

He needs to work on this

When are we going to admit. Son is a very nice guy but this has happened before. On a couple of occasions Son has let his emotions get the better of him and hes lashed out. It’s only because of his nice guy reputation that his temper isn’t acknowledged.

Has Son learnt nothing from Bournemouth last season, I hope a club fine is in order, retaliation always, always gets the bigger punishment, no matter how bad the original transgression. Totally unprofessional.

No one hates Son but you can’t defend what he did! A brainless decision gets him sent off and it’s not the first time he’s done it. Needs to learn to control himself https://t.co/LPwPN9DHPl

Red card. Son has let us down. He has done it before( bornmouth). Lack of discipline. Mourinho needs to sort the whole mentality of the squad. We need the ruthless one
