Tottenham Hotspur: Fans slam Tanguy Ndombele’s injury update

Tanguy Ndombele has told Tottenham Hotspur he has struggled with muscle pain all season, which has impacted his performance, according to The Times.
The club’s record signing moved to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last summer for a £55m fee, making him the Lilywhites’ most expensive player ever.
Ndombele has shown flashes of his overall brilliance ever since he arrived from Lyon, but it is fair to say his debut season under Jose Mourinho has been fairly underwhelming so far.
Indeed, the 23-year-old has made 19 appearances in the Premier League for Spurs, scoring 2 goals, creating 2 assists, making 1.2 tackles per game, averaging just 0.7 interceptions, and taking just 0.5 shots on average in the English top flight (WhoScored).
Admittedly, the Frenchman has suffered from a number of injuries throughout the campaign, although question marks hang over his future at the London club. His current market value is estimated at £46m via Transfermarkt and it remains to be seen whether or not the board will cash in on the midfielder before the start of next season.
Understandably, a whole host of the THFC faithful have grown frustrated with his string of setbacks, and several have lashed out at this latest update on social media, with one fan slamming “excuse after excuse.”

I think you are really clutching at straws ..loads of excuses and very little evidence he’s going to be a success …better chance of oliver skipp having a better season for us next year as it stands (tanguy still could get sold imo)

Bloody hell the guy had a full pre-season and people are still saying the Premier League won’t be ready blah blah blah that should have been the case this August

The only muscle he needs to be concerned about is the one in his head telling him he’s made the big time and doesnt need to put a shift in.
