Tottenham Hotspur’s Champions League group stage campaign ended in defeat on Wednesday night as they went down 3-1 against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.

The game was a dead rubber with the German outfit having already secured first place in Group B whilst Spurs were confirmed as runners-up beforehand.

However, it was still a disappointing display from Jose Mourinho’s men with several players far from at their best on the night.

One man who has been given plenty of flak for his performance in Munich is left-back Danny Rose.

It certainly wasn’t the England international’s finest outing in a Spurs shirt as the stats suggest. Indeed, he lost possession seven times, attempted no crosses in the match and just 70% of his passes were accurate (SofaScore).

Added to that, he was also partly at fault for Bayern’s second goal of the game as he failed to properly clear his lines. His header went straight to Serge Gnabry and seconds later the ball was in the back of the Tottenham net (BT Sport).
