Tottenham Hotspur: Fans tear into Serge Aurier after Ivory Coast win 3-1

Tottenham Hotspur fans have been tearing into Serge Aurier after Ivory Coast beat DR Congo in an international friendly.

The right-back played the full 90 minutes as he captained his home nation to a 3-1 win over their African counterparts.

Aurier has endured a tough season at the club so far this campaign. He was sent-off in the first half against Southampton for two bookable offences before starting in the 7-2 hammering at the hands of Bayern Munich in the Champions League a few days later.

He has come out in recent days to suggest that he wanted to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the summer as he called himself a ‘big boy’ and said he needed to play more games (via Daily Mail)

After his disastrous performances for the Lilywhites this season, fans took to Twitter to slate the defender after Ivory Coast’s win.

Here is a selection of tweets from the Spurs fans:

Tottenham fans, do you want to see Aurier start for the club again this season? Let us know your thoughts!
