Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have called for Eric Dier to be moved on despite the news that the north London club remain in contract talks with the England international, according to journalist Harry Pratt (via Lilywhite Rose).
Dier has played 19 times under Jose Mourinho in all competitions, providing a handy two assists, according to Transfermarkt. He has played in a holding midfield role but also as a central defender in a back three when the Portuguese coach has switched formations.
The 26-year old has been a faithful servant to Spurs for six seasons, making a total of 236 appearances in all competitions since his move from Sporting Lisbon, scoring 11 goals and providing a further 11 assists (via Transfermarkt).
He has not yet won a major trophy with Tottenham but did help them reach the Champions League final last year, where they lost 2-0 to Liverpool (full match report via Sky Sports).
Despite his contributions to the club, these Spurs fans seem to be happy for Dier to move on:

Sell him, overrated by a country mile, love to know what he’s on a week, whatever it is, he should have up each morning, look at his wife and think, aren’t I lucky, how do Spurs give me a contract and do much each week, she wouldn’t be with me only for that

Sell him we have Sanchez and Toby still has 2-3 years left while bring in the likes of Godfrey and Kabak and many other young defenders. He won’t be missed
