Loads of Tottenham Hotspur supporters have taken to Twitter to ask former player Marcus Edwards to return to the club in response to one of his recent posts.
The 21-year-old came through the youth system at Spurs but last summer he was sold by previous manager Mauricio Pochettino, moving to Portuguese outfit Vitoria Guimaraes (Daily Mail).
Edwards shone in the Tottenham youth teams, scoring 10 goals and providing seven assists in 28 under-23 appearances whilst also netting four and assisting five in eight under-19 appearances in UEFA competition (Transfermarkt).
However, despite that he never managed to properly break into the first team and in total he managed just one appearance before leaving.
The move appears to have worked wonders for him though as he has been a regular for Vitoria this season, playing 27 games, scoring six goals and providing seven assists in all competitions including a strike against Arsenal at the Emirates in the Europa League (Transfermarkt).
After the winger posted a video of his highlights from this term on Twitter, many Spurs fans replied and several said that they would love him to return to north London because of his impressive form. Here is what some had to say…
