Tottenham Hotspur: Fans were delighted with what they saw from Davinson Sanchez

Tottenham Hotspur appear to be back to winning ways under Jose Mourinho, however it also appears the manager has started to get the best out of Davinson Sanchez as well.

Spurs cruised to a 3-0 lead against Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon with Dele Alli hitting a brace and Moussa Sissoko smashing a volley home, however as they did against West Ham United last weekend (BBC), they continued to appear nervy as the tie wound down to its conclusion.

A 15-minute double salvo from Harry Wilson gave Eddie Howe’s side a glimmer of a chance, although it was far too late for the Cherries to make the most of (BBC).

Despite the shaky defensive issues that appear to still plague the north London outfit, many of their supporters on social media were delighted with what they saw from Sanchez and believe the Colombia international is getting back to his very best.

The 23-year-old had a goal disallowed by VAR, whilst he looked defensively solid for the most part. According to statistics collected by WhoScored, the enforcer managed to make two interceptions, four clearances and block two attempts on Paulo Gazzaniga’s goal.

Supporters noticed this particular performance and decided to gush over it on Twitter once the game had finished. Here are just some of their immediate reactions…
