Tottenham Hotspur: Fans would like to see club sign Alessandro Florenzi - Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing defender Alessandro Florenzi in the January transfer window, that is according to Calciomercato (via TEAMtalk).

The right-back, 28, currently plays in his native Italy with Serie A side Roma, but he has been in and out of the side of late and has started just three of their last nine league outings (Transfermarkt).

Spurs could target a right-back in the transfer window having failed to replace Kieran Trippier in the summer after he joined Atletico Madrid.

Serge Aurier is currently occupying the position but there are still question marks surrounding the 26-year-old, whilst young Kyle Walker-Peters has barely featured this term and hasn’t played in the Premier League since August (Transfermarkt).

“I am not laughing. If you think that you can mock me on social media like you’ve done to some of your former managers in the past, you are mistaken,” Mourinho reportedly told the defender, according to Foot Mercato (via Daily Mirror).

It seems that Florenzi would be a popular signing amongst the club’s fanbase should a deal happen, with many taking to Twitter to say that they would be happy if he joined them.
