Tottenham Hotspur: Fans would take Emre Can from Juventus

Tottenham Hotspur have been offered the chance to sign former Liverpool midfielder Emre Can this month, that is according to a report from the Daily Mail.

The German international left the Reds to join Juventus in the summer of 2018, but it would fair to say that things haven’t gone as he would have liked in Turin. Indeed this season he has featured just eight times in Serie A, including only two starts and equating to just 279 minutes on the pitch (Transfermarkt).

Added to that, the 26-year-old was also left out of the Italian outfit’s Champions League squad for the group stages, meaning he hasn’t featured at all in Europe (Transfermarkt).

Spurs have already signed a midfielder in this window with Gedson Fernandes joining on loan (@SpursOfficial) but they have suffered problems in the engine room of late. After all, Moussa Sissoko has been ruled out until April (tottenhamhotspur.com) whilst Eric Dier not performing at his best, indeed he has an average SofaScore rating of just 6.62 in the league this season.

They could though face competition if they do move for Can, with Arsenal and Chelsea also thought to have been offered the chance to sign him. However should they get him, then it seems that plenty of Spurs fans would be happy with the signing with several taking to Twitter to suggest that he would be a good addition.

Here is what some had to say…
