Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon could be available for Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League match against Watford, according to BBC Sport.
The pair of summer signings are back in full training, as they look to return from a hip and hamstring injury respectively, as reported by Spurs’ official Twitter account.
Christian Eriksen will face a late fitness test, while Hugo Lloris will be out for the rest of 2019.
Lo Celso has made 3 substitute appearances for Spurs so far since joining the club on loan, amassing a total of 44 minutes, as per Transfermarkt, though he has missed the last 7 games through his hip injury.
Meanwhile, Sessegnon is yet to make a single appearance for Spurs, with his hamstring issue having kept him out for 119 days.
When Mauricio Pochettino claimed he feels Spurs don’t need to make any January signings, he spoke about unlocking some of the talent that is already at the club, as reported by Football Daily, via Last Word On Spurs – perhaps part of the thinking behind this statement was getting the pair of summer recruits fit and ready to play.
Having Lo Celso and Sessegnon would definitely be a boost for Spurs, as they look to get back to winning ways, having only tasted victory thrice in their 11 games in all competitions this season.
Even if they are only able to come on as substitutes, seeing the pair on the pitch would likely give the crowd a lift.
