Were Tottenham too quick to sell Kieran Trippier?
Spurs are reportedly looking to the 21-year-old to help add depth at right-back, with there having been troubles in that position this campaign following the departure of Kieran Trippier.
They have looked to Ajax for transfer inspiration in the past, having signed the likes of Davinson Sanchez, Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen from the Eredivisie champions, as per Transfermarkt.
Mazraoui has made six starts and two substitute appearances across the Champions League and Eredivisie this campaign, as per WhoScored.
In the league, he has averaged 1.6 tackles, 0.8 interceptions, 2.2 clearances and 0.8 dribbles per game, while completing 82.1% of the passes he has attempted.
The Morocco international also has versatility that could be useful for Spurs, as he has already played at left-back and as a holding midfielder this season, as well as his natural place at right-back.
Mazraoui would certainly be a good signing for Spurs if they are able to pull it off, though it remains to be seen whether the 21-year-old would be happy to come in as a squad option ready to provide depth.
Still, his versatility could be especially important under Mauricio Pochettino, due to the questions that have been raised about the backline in general.
