Jose Mourinho’s first home game in charge of Tottenham Hotspur certainly proved to be a dramatic one and a far cry from the boring football tag that previously been levelled at the Portuguese in the past.
Is Mourinho starting to win you over?
Indeed, his Spurs side found themselves two goals down for much of the first-half before goals from Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Serge Aurier ensured they’d qualify for the next round of the Champions League at the expense of Olympiakos.
The decision to appoint the former Chelsea boss was a controversial one to say the least due to the popularity of former boss Mauricio Pochettino but the 57-year-old was certainly the toast of social media last night. For a man previously called a dinosaur for falling behind the likes of Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp in terms of battling for the biggest trophies in the game, he was praised by supporters as a tactical genius for his work last night.
In fact, one Twitter user even went as far as to thank Daniel Levy for his decision to bring Mourinho back into football!
So, with that in mind, here’s how Twitter blew up for Mourinho last night.
Was such an enjoyable game! Thanks Levy for giving football a happy José Mourinho.

I know he wouldn’t have started under Poch but Mourinho does what Poch would never have done and takes off Dier early for playing badly. Then we don’t concede and score four. Tactical genius #coys #thfc #spurs
