The teenage attacker was announced as a part of Mick McCarthy’s Republic of Ireland squad for their upcoming EURO 2020 qualification game against Denmark as well as a friendly against New Zealand (per the FAI’s official website), with Parrott only making his U-21 debut for the Boys in Green this September (per the 42).
With Tottenham fans viewing Parrott as a potential star for the future, plenty of supporters on social media were excited to see the teenage attacker handed a chance to play for his nation at senior level, with stats from Transfermarkt showing that the Dublin-born striker is yet to start a Premier League game for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
