Tottenham Hotspur are planning to recall Jack Clarke from Leeds United and sent him out on another loan in January, as reported by The Express.
Partly down to the EFL’s ruling that a club can only have five loan players in their matchday squad, Clarke’s game time has been limited to 115 minutes in the Carabao Cup – a competition Leeds are now out of, as per Transfermarkt.
He has made the bench in just two of the club’s Championship games, having failed to even do that in any of the last five.
This has led Spurs to take action in order to get the summer signing some minutes on the pitch:

With West Ham United, Everton and Crystal Palace the three sides said to be interested in taking the 18-year-old on a temporary basis, there are some fans who feel he still won’t get game time if he is moved again.
This is worrying for those who are doubtful, as the general feeling is that the 18-year-old needs to be getting regular game time if he is to continue developing.
The main point of him going back to Leeds on loan was that this would happen, but things haven’t gone as Spurs or Clarke would have hoped so far.
A selection of Twitter reaction to the report, including posts from worried Spurs fans, can be seen below:
he won’t get game time there either somewhere like sheffield united would be better for him

I don’t think this kid is gunna fly at Spurs and will be just another problem for MP. The transfer has obviously gone to his head and now he thinks he’s above trying at a Championship club where he should be making an impact. Another Marcus Edwards but not as talented?

That’s not really the problem though is it? He’s still putting in the effort but now Leeds are just freezing him out. Sending him somewhere else where he might get some game time is the best thing for him right now.

Surely he needs to settle in London.
