Tottenham Hotspur: Many fans don’t think Victor Wanyama can get back into the team

Victor Wanyama has vowed to work hard so that he can get back into the Tottenham Hotspur team, as reported by Goal.
Will this be Mauricio Pochettino's last season at Tottenham?
Yes

No

The 28-year-old has insisted that he can do it, despite having almost been sold to Club Brugge and Celtic during the summer, as well as being among the players being made available for sale in January, according to football.london:
Victor Wanyama is now confident of earning a spot in Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur side:
“What happened in the transfer window is passed, my main focus is to train as hard as I can to make sure I regain my position in the team.#THFC #COYShttps://t.co/yMSQNs5aiL

Wanyama’s only start of the campaign so far came during the Carabao Cup loss against Colchester United, while his two appearances in the Premier League haven’t even totalled half an hour, as per Transfermarkt.
Despite liking the Kenya international’s sentiment, many Spurs fans don’t believe that he will be able to achieve what he is setting out to do.
A large part of this is because of his injury record, as he missed 21 games with knee problems last season, something which they feel will have taken its toll on him.
A selection of Twitter reaction to the claim, including posts from unconvinced Spurs fans, can be seen below:
I love Wanyama, but by all accounts he has a literally debilitating condition that will never allow him to be at full fitness again.

What’s essential to our short/medium term well being as a club is that Poch doesn’t pick players with an eye to helping get them moved on in Jan. Don’t think it’s his way and it shouldn’t happen.

No chance Vic with those knees, he is so slow around the pitch now. Big pity but the facts are he’ll never get back to anyone near his previous level
