Dele Alli scored Tottenham Hotspur’s goal in their 1-1 draw against Everton and many fans were delighted for him.
This was not only because it meant that Spurs were being put into the lead, but also because it was the 23-year-old who was getting the goal:

The big reason behind this is the criticism that has been aimed towards him in recent times, with an example being Roy Keane’s comments after the Liverpool game on Sky Sports: “He basically thought he was a player, thought he’d achieved something, but today, non-existent.”
With this in mind, many of the club’s fans were delighted to see the England international proving his doubters wrong, while they will also hope that he can push on to a level that will get him back into the national team squad, after missing out last time around.
Will Dele Alli rediscover his best form this season?
Aside from his goal, Alli made 1 key pass, 1 dribble, 2 clearances and earned a 7.24 match rating from WhoScored.
