Frustrations are growing at Tottenham Hotspur, with their draw against Watford making it three games in a row without a win in all competitions, as per Transfermarkt.
Many fans are discussing ways that things can be improved, with Ricky Sacks putting the opinion across that Mauricio Pochettino should use some of his youngsters:
Would honestly rather see Oliver Skipp, Japhet Tanganga and Troy Parrott in this Tottenham Hotspur side.
— Ricky Sacks (@RickSpur) October 19, 2019
Oliver Skipp has played in 2 Premier League games this season, though each of those performances only lasted 1 minute, while he also played 78 minutes of the Carabao Cup loss at the hands of Colchester United.
The feeling among many Spurs fans is that they would like to see young and hungry players like this representing them, rather than players they feel are not interested, such as Christian Eriksen, Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld, who all have contracts expiring in the summer.
A selection of Twitter reaction to the suggestion, including posts from agreeing Spurs fans, can be seen below:
The only logical reason I can find for a manager to keep picking these players is because the manager wants to be relieved of his duties.

Agreed all players out of contract in July should be removed from the first team in Jan. Get the young guys playing to give them experience. We need a leader a Roy Keane type player no one seems to have any fire in their belly. Kane/Lloris do not inspire.

1000% Ive been screaming this for weeks. This team is broken. They are relegation awful. Zero energy. Zero speed. Zero heart.

Totally agree Ricky. I’d sooner see players hungry to get into our first team rather than players who won’t sign contracts and want away.

Agree, mate. Porch’s tactics are just plain strange. But worse than that is players who do not care. Those who clearly do not want to play for the fans and club, put them on the bench and get in academy players who actually care.

They are also the players that played a big part of pre season tours and good results vs Juventus, Man Utd, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan!
