Tottenham Hotspur: Peter Crouch’s tweet has loads of Spurs fans talking

Peter Crouch has shared his reaction to his memorable goal against Manchester City, as Tuesday marked 10 years to the day since his iconic match-winner at Eastlands. Unsurprisingly, lots of Spurs fans have reacted to his five word tweet.
Replying to a post from @thespursweb, Crouch fondly remembered his famous header against the Sky Blues away, saying “10 years ! What a night.”
The former Spurs striker bundled home a goal with only eight minutes remaining on the clock as Harry Redknapp’s Lilywhites secured their first top four finish in the Premier League in the club’s history (BBC Sport).
Having graduated from the North London club’s academy, the 39-year-old went on to make 93 appearances for Tottenham across two separate spells, scoring 24 goals and creating 21 assists, before leaving his boyhood club for the last time for Stoke City for £10.7m in August 2011. The ex-England international also won 42 caps for his country, bagging 22 goals in total, until he finally hung up his boots last summer.
As expected, a whole number of the THFC faithful responded to Crouch’s message, with one fan dubbing him a “Tottenham legend forever.”
