Tottenham Hotspur have been offered the chance to sign Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz in the summer transfer window, that is according to a report from AS (via Ricky Sacks).
It is suggested that Los Blancos wish to sell the 26-year-old in order to free up funds to pursue their own transfer targets and that Spurs are in the market for competition for first choice striker Harry Kane. Indeed, aside from the England skipper Jose Mourinho doesn’t currently have another senior striker to call upon, with Son Heung-min often forced to fill in when needed.
However, since moving back to the Spanish capital he has found opportunities hard to come by. Indeed he has featured just 15 times in La Liga over the last two seasons, scoring four goals (Transfermarkt).
Plenty of Spurs fans have been reacting to the news that they have been offered the chance to sign the striker, with opinion seem to be split on whether or not he would be a worthwhile addition.
Here is what some had to say…
Isn’t the Striker Mourinho is looking for , he isn’t that ‘battering ram’

Average at best. I think the best word to use on him is a one season wonder.
