Tottenham Hotspur: Spurs fans unhappy with club’s interest in Ryan Sessegnon

Several Spurs fans are not happy with the news that the potential signing of Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham has gathered momentum and the club are now confident of securing a deal (Football Insider).

Tottenham are searching for a left-back who could replace Danny Rose as the England international’s future has been called into question, particularly since he was left out of their pre-season tour of Asia.

The deal for Sessegnon is rumoured to be for around £25million, although there are reports that his twin brother Steven, who is a right-back by trade, may also be included in the deal which may change the fee.

The 19-year-old scored 15 goals and provided six assists in the 2017/18 season with Fulham and they were subsequently promoted to the Premier League.

However, he failed to impress in the Premier League throughout the last campaign, scoring just twice in a dismal year which saw the Cottagers relegated back down to the second tier.

And there are some Spurs fans who are apprehensive that he may not be up to scratch for the Champions League finalists.
